Kyle Fulton - March 2026

For March’s artist highlight we would like to turn the spotlight over to Kyle Fulton, aka FuFi (@Kylefufi) a multidisciplinary artist from New Orleans Louisiana. Growing up, Kyle was always around animations and cartoons. He would watch shows like Avatar, Ben10, Teen Titans, and Sonic the Hedgehog. While watching, he would pause them and sketch the characters. He says that this was the beginning of his journey. It would take in different forms as he went attended school.

He continued to draw in elementary and even recalls the time his fifth grade teacher gifted him his notebook. In high school he really found a love for photography. He would take Pictor the yearbook club, and when he made it to collect his father would get him a camera of his own. During his time at Dillard University, he would find his passion for filmmaking, and telling stories. He credits being around other filmmakers at the time helping him with his craft, and how he wanted to get his ideas out. Kyle currently has a piece called “Cycles” which he says best describes him as an artist. “As human beings, we’re always going through cycles, and changing….I just think this piece represents what I’m going through right now.” Kyle has had his work featured in the CAC, 14 Parishes, and Studio BE. He has also done set work for Slam Magazine, Hulu productions, and collaborations with artists such as La Reezy, Dominic Scott, and Mac Infinity.

Looking forward, Kyle says that he both thinking about future plans while also continuing with his day to day process. He says to he often thinks about long term goals ,but as stays in the moment. “ I think the important thing is to be adaptable, and trying not to be fixated on things going exactly as planned.” Kyle has his first solo art exhibition coming up on Saturday June 27th called “Ego Death”. He also has a few submissions both local and non local that he has in the works along with some short films he’s working on.
